Questions people actually ask

Is it priced per dog or per booking?: Neither. One price per business, whatever your size. A busy August should not cost you more than a quiet February.
Do I need a card to start?: No. Every new account starts with a free trial and no card. Subscribe from inside the app when you are ready; nothing is charged until you do.
What is the founding pilot?: The done-for-you route, for ten licensed home boarders in England. We migrate your spreadsheet for you and work alongside you for thirty days. The price afterwards is the Licensed plan’s annual price, £150 a year, protected for two years. If you would rather set yourself up, the free trial is the same product.
What happens when the trial ends?: Nothing is deleted. If you have not subscribed, your account becomes read-only — you can still open, print and export everything, including your statutory register. Subscribing switches recording back on.
What if a payment fails?: Everything keeps working while Stripe retries the card, and we tell you clearly in the app. We do not lock a kennel out of its own dog records over an expired card.
Can I cancel?: Any time, from inside the app — no phone call, no notice period. Your records stay readable, and we keep them for the statutory three-year minimum whether you are paying or not.
Can I get my data out?: Yes. An administrator can download a complete export of your records from Settings — every record as CSV and JSON in one file — at any time, including when the account is read-only. Key-safe codes and access instructions are never included in an export.
What is on annual plans that is not on monthly?: The inspection pack: one printable document that assembles your licence details, statutory register, care summary, incidents and readiness snapshot for a period you choose. Everything you need to run day to day — bookings, records, care logging, invoicing and the live statutory register itself — is on every plan, and the register is always printable. A Procedure Builder for written procedures is planned for annual plans and does not exist yet; we will not charge you for it until it does.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?: No. What your clients pay you is yours — it goes straight into your own Stripe account and never passes through us. We charge you a subscription and nothing else.
Is DogBoarder for Wales as well as England?: England first. Wales licenses boarding under its own framework, and we would rather support it properly than approximately, so Wales is a later launch. If you are in Wales, say so on the pilot application — it tells us where the demand is.
